About Freemasonry
Freemasonry is the world's oldest and largest fraternal organization, built upon the timeless principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. It is a society of men concerned with moral and spiritual values.
Members are taught its principles by a series of ritual dramas which follow ancient forms and use stonemasons' customs and tools as allegorical guides. Freemasonry is not a religion, nor a replacement for religion.
Lodge No. 183 has proudly served the Hastings community and the St. Johns County area since 1909, welcoming men of good character who seek to make a positive difference in their lives and their communities.

From the East
Brethren,
As we move into September, I would like to encourage each Brother to reflect on the importance of attendance, participation, and fellowship in the life of our Lodge.
Our Stated Communications are about much more than conducting the business of the Lodge. They are opportunities to strengthen the bonds of Brotherhood, support one another, welcome newer Masons, share in Masonic education, and ensure that the work of Hastings Masonic Lodge No. 183 continues to move forward. Every Brother who attends brings something of value, and a strong Lodge depends upon Brothers who are willing to be present and take an active role.
Just as important is our participation outside the walls of our own Lodge. Visiting neighboring Lodges, attending District meetings, supporting degree work, participating in Masonic education, and taking part in community and charitable activities allow us to strengthen relationships throughout the Fraternity. These activities also give us an opportunity to learn from other Brothers and to represent Hastings Lodge in a positive and meaningful way.
Freemasonry is built upon fellowship and service, and both require participation. I encourage every Brother to make an effort this month and every month to attend Lodge, volunteer when opportunities arise and join us when we travel or participate in outside activities.
The strength of Hastings Lodge is found in its Brothers. When we show up, work together, and support one another, we help ensure that our Lodge remains strong for those who will follow us.
I look forward to seeing you in Lodge and working alongside you in the months ahead.

Annual scholarship awards for graduating seniors in the Hastings area and St. Johns County.
Supporting Shriners Hospitals for Children through donations, fundraising, and community awareness.
Regular donations and volunteering at local food banks and community pantries.
Honoring and supporting veterans in St. Johns County and surrounding communities.
Contributing to Masonic relief efforts and the Masonic Home during Florida emergencies.
Supporting DeMolay, Rainbow Girls, and Job's Daughters youth organizations in the district.
Freemasonry is open to men of good moral character who believe in a Supreme Being and are seeking to improve themselves and their community. The journey begins with a simple conversation.
